DIRECTOR | FUTURE EARTH AUSTRALIA
Dr Tayanah O'Donnell is a lawyer, academic and now senior executive working in the science-policy-practice interface. Based at the Australian Academy of Science, she currently leads the Oceania node of Future Earth, Future Earth Australia.
There she works with diverse stakeholders to design and implement multi-perspective and robust science synthesis for use across governments, industry, the research sector, and civil society. Her areas of expertise include environment and planning law, climate change adaptation, climate governance, coastal policy, and urban and regional sustainability.
She has worked on these areas with a range of sectors for over fifteen years, spanning private, public, academic and non-profit sectors. She has published on these topics in a range of formats, including books, scientific papers, and popular media. She is an Honorary Associate Professor at the Australian National University.
