Dr Karen Evans is taking part in organising a conversation for the Australian ocean stakeholder community in her role as a member of the Executive Planning Group for the UN Decade of Ocean Science for Sustainable Development 2021-2030.
She is actively engaged in research focused on improving scientific understanding and developing options for sustainable marine resource management, particularly in relation to national and international fisheries, oil and gas activities and biodiversity at national, regional and global scales. She is currently employed as a team leader and principal research scientist at CSIRO Oceans and Atmosphere.
